Vineyard 29 is proud to release of our first Cabernet Franc. We planted the Franc on our 29 property intending to blend it with our cabernet sauvignon. However, once we tasted it in barrel we were so impressed with the quality that we determined that this fruit should shine on its own.
The wine has an intense nose of chocolate and blackberries that is surprising in this varietal. These notes are continued on the palette and accompanied by a rich mouth feel, notes of vanilla, silky tannins and a long finish. If this wine were served blind, you would think it was a rich Bordeaux blend and not 100% Franc. We could not be happier with this first release.
